Yes, yes! I've slacked off a bit on my blogging. Bad Anglo :P
There really is no excuse other than laziness... I started my stage (internship) and it's going well... Nothing too interesting but I'm not complaining.
So! Onto my Monthly Goals of March!
1- Start going to stage everyday, even if only for the afternoons
2- Stay on budget every week, not just 3/4 as have been doing
3- a) If I get my new job: Save 100$ per week
b) If I don't get my new job: Only work a MAXIMUM of 34hrs per week
4- Be nicer to people
5- Lie more. Honesty is getting me nowhere these days
I'm going to draft out a post on honesty tomorrow and post it later tomorrow evening. À demain mes amis!

Harry Potter
As promised... The story of Harry Potter.
Once upon a time... A boy walked into work. He was the grossest, weirdest looking dork I've seen in awhile and certainly the worst I'd seen at my job. As I was encompassingly in love with someone else and dating another co-worker, I regarded this boy as possibly, maybe having friend potential -- but nothing else. When I found out that he was anglophone (a fact he denies), I immediately decided that we would be BFFs. We sat next to each other and I would go on and on and on about the two men in my life and he would sit and listen. The chemistry was undeniable but I, like the snobby bitch that I was in 2009, ignored it and all those around us who told me that we would be perfect together.
June 9th, 2009 was the day I realized that I was in intense-like with this boy. Wow. Like... Wow! I began to shift my attention away from the other men I worked with (I had stopped seeing one of the guys by that point) and focused on him.
Things were going well -- I was glad. We'd email and have lunch and talk at work and people kept asking when we'd go out. I, of course, was coy and responded "I don't think he likes me"
Then I became friends with Girl. She's important in the story because she's as boy-crazy as I am and we would often discuss guys. I poured out my feelings about him and she told me about this guy she just started to see. We talked and talked and talked about our men one day at work for over an hour -- it was great! I decided that night to tell Harry Potter that I liked him.
He told me he was kind of in a relationship.
I asked if she worked with us -- he said no. I disclosed all of this to Girl who told me that she was fed up with dating men at work because of the gossip blah blah blah.
Anywho... Anyone who can guess where this story is heading wins cookies because I sure as hell would never have guessed that Harry Potter and Girl were dating.
Uh yeah...
Anyways. They broke up and Harry Potter became a GIANT douchebag who's in love with She says that she will never, ever date him. We'll see where this goes but I hope it ends well :)

New boots!
So here's what I'm thinking...
If I get my new Opus card, my fare will go from 70$/month to 148$/4 months (36$/month). If I used that extra 34$/month, I would join the gym and accomplish one of my goals! Excellent :)
I bought boots yesterday. I know, I know... I didn't have the money. However, I start my stage soon and will need to not be wearing boots that have holes in them. Think of the boots as an investment in my future :P Except that I bought two pair because the salesman gave me a deal: 60$ plus tax (13.5%) each or 100$ cash for both. I ran to the bank, deposited my QST refund of 87$ (the government gives sales tax refunds to everyone 3 or 4 times a year -- the amount varies depending on how much you earned the last year), withdrew 100$ and ran back to the shoe shop. Yes!
The money was earmarked for my ortho surgery but I'm so close to my goal and I have so many more months before I need to pay. I'm not worried :)

January Goals
1- Stay on budget
2- Go on a date with Harry Potter (Full explanation of this will follow)
3- Work 3 days a week so that my savings will remain untouched
4- Get another job for Fridays and Saturdays
5- Get my reduced-fare Opus card
6- Pay tuition (This is an easy one since I will have to go to school on the 15th and will most probably pay it then)
7- Find money in the budget to join the gym (and go!)
8- Buy winter boots (as in... Find money to buy winter boots)
9- Ask everyone for their share of the internet money on time so that it doesn't fuck up the balance sheet
10- Hang out with Peggy and Chip more often

About Me!
What can I say...?
I like to think of myself as a very nice person with a kind and generous heart. Unfortunately, words that have been used to describe me run more along the lines of bitch, dramatic and over-bearing. In fact, I was once told that my personality invades people's person space and that I needed to rein it in. Whatever.
I am starting this blog as a sort of insight into my life. Perhaps, whilst writing I'll discover that I am indeed, what a lot of people think of me and will be able to change and grow into a better person.
More about me? I am a full-time student and, until yesterday, worked full-time as well. As a money-crazy (saving not spending!) young lady, the significant drop in my hours will surely drive me insane these next few weeks (I'm going to be doing an internship -- stage). I'm going to be looking for a second part-time job but will also be taking classes part-time and will, all in all, be burning the proverbial candle at two ends -- again... O.o' Lovely.
So! Join me for my sassy, hopefully witty banter this semester while I challenge myself to grow into a decent person and not bankrupt myself :)
